    Prague, 7 November 2016 – Mitas, part of Trelleborg Group, is extending its adventure tyre range by adding two new sizes to TERRA FORCE-R and two sizes to E-10 tread patterns. In addition, TERRA FORCE-R is featuring the all new Optimum Steel Cord Technology (OSCT), which ensures optimal contact area between the tyre and the surface in all driving conditions. All innovations from the adventure, on-road and off-road Mitas tyre ranges will be displayed at the Mitas stand, L52, in hall 10 of EICMA fairground.

    Prague, November 2, 2016 – At the EIMA fair in Bologna, Mitas, part of Trelleborg Group, will be showcasing the highlights from its agricultural range including Agriterra flotation tyres, VF HC 2000 tyres for high horsepower tractors, municipal and tractor tyres. From November 9 to 13 at stand A1 in Hall 14, Mitas will display key innovations from its market-leading range of specialist tyres.

    Prague, September 15, 2016 – Mitas high-horsepower tyres helped a Claas Axos 320 tractor weighing 4 tons to ‘walk’ on water. Without the massive flotation tyres the tractor would inevitably sink. But thanks to careful calculation and Archimedes’ principle the tractor successfully navigated the port and then returned to dry land without the captain getting his feet wet. Mitas, part of Trelleborg Group, and its partners carried out the unusual stunt in Netherlands this month. One of the world’s largest agricultural tyres, Mitas1250/50 R 32 SFT, was fitted on the rear axle and Mitas 750/55 R 30 SFT on the front axle of the floating Claas tractor.

    Trelleborg has finalized the acquisition of CGS Holding a.s. – a privately-owned company with leading positions in agricultural, industrial and specialty tyres as well as engineered polymer solutions. The total cash consideration amounted to approximately SEK 10.9 billion on a cash and debt-free basis. CGS is headquartered in the Czech Republic and generated sales of approximately SEK 5.6 billion in 2015 with an operating margin of 16.5 percent.

    Prague, 14 April, 2016 – Mitas has earned recognition as a Partner-level supplier for 2015 in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program. The Partner-level status is Deere & Company’s highest supplier rating. The Prague based company was selected for the honor in recognition of its dedication to providing products and service of outstanding quality as well as its commitment to continuous improvement. Company employees accepted the recognition during formal ceremonies held on 13 April 2016 in Zweibrücken, Germany. Mitas is a supplier of radial agricultural tyres to John Deere’s operation in Europe, Russia, United States and Mexico.

  • Mitas introduces new crane tyre CR-02

    Prague, 21 March 2016 – At the Bauma fair, Mitas will unveil in its world premiere the 445/95R25 CR-02 tyre, designed for mobile cranes, at stand No. 127 in Hall A6. Mitas CR-02 is a new tread design that extends the current range of CR-01 crane tyres. Mitas CR-02 has improved operating efficiency thanks to its lighter construction. It is also possible to mount CR-02 tyres on a one-piece rim, which reduces the overall weight of the mobile crane. These improvements have a positive impact on fuel consumption.

  • Mitas new ERD-45 for rigid dump trucks

    Prague, 10 March, 2016 – At Bauma fair Mitas will introduce brand new ERD-45 18.00R33 tyre for rigid dump trucks. It will be available on the market in May 2016. The pattern is designed for hard surface conditions and boasts with excellent traction. ERD-45 has a sidewall protection and it is also highly resistant to cuts. Mitas ERD-45 18.00R33 is a first size in Mitas product offer for rigid dump trucks and further extension of this range is planned for next year. Mitas invites all media representatives and visitors to join in a photo opportunity with the new ERD-45 at stand No. 127 in hall 6.

  • Highest ‘A’ rating from Fendt for deliveries of Mitas Premium

    Prague, 8 March 2016 – Mitas once again defended the supplier rating of four A’s it received from Fendt (AGCO) since 2004. This year’s award is particularly significant as Mitas was awarded specifically for deliveries of Mitas Premium tyres. Mitas started to deliver only Mitas Premium tyres to the Fendt tractor plant in Marktoberdorf, as a replacement for Continental tyres, from January 2015. In giving its rating, AGCO evaluates supplier quality, logistics, customer service and environmental protection – and Mitas received the highest “A” grade in all categories.
