  • Mitas teams up as tyre partner for 11th Red Bull Romaniacs

    Prague, 14 July 2014 – Mitas announces the sponsorship of the 11th Red Bull Romaniacs, which will be held from Tuesday, 15 July, to Saturday, 19 July 2014, in Sibiu, Romania. A total of 350 off-road motorcycle riders hailing from 33 nations will compete in the world`s toughest Hard Enduro Rally. As a tyre partner, Mitas will provide tyre sales and service at the race site every day of the race.

  • Mitas starts sales of Super Flexion Tyre in Europe

    Prague 3 July 2014 – Mitas are introducing new sizes of Super Flexion Tyre (SFT) for high-horsepower tractors over 180 hp for European markets. Six dimensions are available from July 2014 onwards: 900/60R42, 710/60R34, 650/60R34, 710/65R46, 750/65R26, 580/85R42. Three new sizes: 620/75R26, 1050/50R25, 1250/50R32 will be introduced later in 2014. These nine sizes of Mitas SFT will not be produced in the Continental SVT range. They are solely designed and manufactured under the Mitas brand at the company’s factories in Otrokovice (CZE) and Charles City (USA).

  • Mitas displayed Powerpull tyre on ETPC tractor-pulling event in France

    Prague, 12 June 2014 – The Mitas-sponsored tractor-pulling ETPC Eurocup season is in full swing. During its third pull on 7 June in Bernay, France, Mitas has shown the prototype of its tractor-pulling tyre with the characteristic name Powerpull. Also, the Mitas All Or Nothing tractor-pulling team, sponsored by Mitas, met with success when its driver, Bram Kools, won the pull.

  • Anniversary XX. Erzbergrodeo with Mitas as the official partner

    Prague, 28 May 2014 – Mitas announces the sponsorship of the anniversary XX. Erzbergrodeo, which will be held from Thursday, 29 May, to Sunday, 1 June 2014, in Erzberg, Austria. More than 1,500 off-road motorcycle riders from the world over will face the challenges of the Erzberg open-pit mine. Mitas will provide exclusive tyre sales and service at the race site.

  • First Speedway Grand Prix victory for Matěj Žagar

    Prague, 23 May 2014 - Matej Žagar has won the Mitas Finnish FIM Speedway Grand Prix in Tampere, Finland. That was the first Speedway Grand Prix victory for Mitas’ sponsored rider. The 31-year old Slovenian rider has been competing in SGP series for four years and always believed he would be a FIM Speedway Grand Prix winner.

  • Mitas developing special Powerpull tyre

    Prague, 13 May 2014 – Mitas signed a sponsorship agreement with the European Tractor Pulling Committee (ETPC) and has entered the dynamic world of tractor-pulling. The agreement goes hand-in-hand with the development of the special Mitas Powerpull tyre. The construction of the first prototype of the new tractor-pulling tyre is based on a manufacturing process similar to that for Mitas’ high-horsepower tractor tyres. This will guarantee endurance and durability. Mitas Powerpull will be available in 2014.

  • Mitas is the official tyre supplier of 2014 FIM Speedway Grand Prix series

    Prague, 5 May 2014 – Mitas has signed a multiyear contract with BSI Speedway, the promoters of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix, to be the official tyre supplier and associate sponsor of the world championship series for the 11th consecutive year. The Czech-based company will also be the title sponsor of round three on 17 May, which will be known as the 2014 Mitas Finnish FIM Speedway Grand Prix.
