  • Launch of Cultor RD radial agricultural tyres starts in 2016

    Prague, 16 November 2015 – Agricultural and industrial tyre brand Cultor will dramatically extend its range in the radial agricultural tyres segment. The Cultor RD tyre range is a substitution for Mitas RD and draws on the performance of Mitas RD, which are no longer included in the Mitas brand portfolio. MITAS a.s., which produces Cultor at its plants in Europe, will offer 46 new sizes of radial agricultural tyres marked Cultor RD as of January 2016.* Cultor RD takes advantage of the benefits of high-tech tyre development conducted under the Mitas brand, offering the same performance and durability of Mitas RD. In the MITAS a.s. brand portfolio, Cultor will be placed below Mitas Premium line.

  • Mitas secures Eurocup tractor-pulling title

    Prague, 29 September 2014 – The tractor-pulling team Mitas ‘All or Nothing’ won the ETPC Eurocup title in the Superstock category. Mitas’ sponsored team, with driver Bram Kools, confirmed its domination of the category at the last event in Parma, Italy, on 21 September. In Parma, Mitas announced its intention to prolong the sponsorship agreement with the European Tractor Pulling Committee (ETPC) for the 2015 Eurocup season.

  • Mitas are introducing VF HC 2000 tyres for large tractors and VF HC 1000 for sprayers

    Prague, November 25, 2014 – Mitas starts sales of Very High Flexion (VF) tyres on worldwide markets. The VF tyre product line plays key role in Mitas Premium product offer which is replacing Continental branded tyres on machinery produced from January 2015. For high-horsepower tractors Mitas released VF 380/95R38 HC 2000 and VF 480/95R50 HC 2000. For sprayer applications Mitas unveiled the VF 380/90R46 HC 1000. In December 2014, Mitas will extend the range and introduce additional sizes of HC 2000, namely VF 600/70R30 and VF 710/70R42.

With Sport Force+, Mitas uses a new tread tyre compound based on the latest findings of its research and development unit. Mitas Sport Force+ will be available on global markets starting in February 2015. All sizes of Sport Force+ boast (W) speed index, allowing for speeds of more than 270 km/h (168 mph).

  • Mitas is Overall Winner of the CLAAS Supplier Awards, 2014

    Prague/Harsewinkel, 5 February 2015 - Mitas is overall winner of the CLAAS Supplier of the Year Awards, 2014. Major farm equipment manufacturer CLAAS awarded tyre maker Mitas as best supplier for its outstanding development partnership, an excellent cooperation during recent years and active participation in logistics and lesser development projects. The gala event took place in January in Harsewinkel, Germany. Mitas won the award from among 900 serial part suppliers.

  • Mitas displays new sizes of VF HC 2000 tyres at SIMA fair

    Prague, 10 February 2015 – At SIMA fair in Paris Mitas will introduce new sizes of its Very High Flexion (VF) tyres range. At the stand E016, Hall 3, Mitas will display VF 600/70R30 HC 2000 and VF 710/70R42 HC 2000. These two new sizes are released for sales from February. Another extension will take place in March when Mitas will unveil VF 380/105R54 HC 2000. Mitas will then offer five sizes of HC 2000 tyres for powerful tractors. VF tyres play a key role in the Mitas Premium tyre line, which replaces Continental-branded tyres on new machinery produced by OEMs from January 2015.

  • Mitas extends flotation tyre product range

    Prague, 17 February 2015 – Mitas announces Agriterra 02 and Agriterra 03 flotation radial tyres range extension. Nine new sizes will be available as of March 2015. One of the main advantages of Agriterra tyres is their low operating costs with a positive impact on fuel consumption. Steel belt construction ensures higher loads, stability at higher speeds of more than 30 km/h and improves the tyre's puncture resistance. Agriterra’s tread features larger tread voids, improving the self-cleaning properties of the tyre. Thanks to the well-designed tread pattern, Mitas flotation tyres have an 11% larger tread contact area than premium competitors and 22% larger than competitors with a traction type of tread pattern.

  • Mitas unveils new sizes of CR-01 crane tyres

    Prague, 7 April 2015 – Two new sizes of Mitas CR-01 crane tyres are being released for sale. The all-new Mitas 385/95R25 CR-01 170F TL and 525/80R25 CR-01 176F TL are tyres designed for speeds of up to 80 km/h (for 385/95R25) and 90 km/h (for 525/80R25). Maximum operational load capacity of Mitas 525/80R25 CR-01 is 17,750 kg and 7,100 kg at speed 80 km/h under 7 bar. To date, Mitas produces three sizes of CR-01 crane tyres and delivers them to major manufacturers such as Liebherr and Manitowoc. The CR-01 tyre will be put on display at the INTERMAT fair in Paris at Mitas stand E051, Hall 5a.
