European roots, worldwide expansion
History of Mitas brand goes back to the thirties of the last century where first production of tyres started in Prague and Zlín, and then also in Otrokovice. In 2016, Mitas became a part of group Trelleborg. Currently, Mitas tyres are produced in the plants of six European countries and in one production plant in America. The most recent European production plant in Otrokovice started operation in 2013. It produces Mitas radial tyres designed for the most efficient agricultural machines. Another significant milestone was the opening of the production plant in the USA, where the production of radial agricultural tyres commenced in 2012. This production plant is located directly in the heart of the American farming industry and in the area with many producers of agricultural technology. Extensive American market with high demands provides Mitas brand with great potential.
In the past, the supply of the Mitas tyres was focused particularly on the European market. Currently, Mitas tyrs are distributed worldwide using the global sales network of Trelleborg Wheel Systems.
A significant part of the production of the Mitas radial agricultural tyres for new tractors and harvesters goes directly to the plants of well-known manufacturers of agricultural machines, such as John Deere, Case New Holland, Claas, and AGCO.
The quality and reliability are a strong asset of the Mitas brand. We want to meet the requirements of our customers and help them to keep pace with the dynamic world of agriculture.
